Geoscience Testing Laboratory has recently procurred the 100 kN capacity Universal Testing Machine capble for performing the tensile, compression and flexural strength of various materials including Geotextiles; geomembranes; plastics; wood; tiles etc.. The semi automated machine is directly connected to the computer and the results including the graphs shall be obtained from the Horizon software.
This Tinious Oleson machine with all the attachments and adaptors to perform the various tests has been fully installed and functionable.
The laboratory is in the process of obtaining necessary accreditation for the Geotextile testing facility; which will ofcourse add value to the service.
